A soup kitchen that caters? Yes, it’s true! We’ve been turning out wonderful meals for the people who come to our dining room as well as for the events that we’ve held for our volunteers, donors and guests for years. After hearing many rave reviews about our food, we decided to take advantage of the years of culinary experience that our chefs share and offer catering for off-site events. Not only is catering a way to showcase the culinary expertise of Cathedral Kitchen, but it also offers our culinary arts and baking arts students a chance to hone their skills by taking part in our catered events. Catering also affords us the ability to produce income that can be used to support our core meal program and our dental clinic. The last few years of financial upheaval have left their mark on funding for nonprofit organizations like the Kitchen, and many of our funders have less to offer in terms of grant support. Catering income has helped us bridge the funding gap and keep our programs running smoothly.
About our Food:
Most of the items on our menu are prepared from scratch by our expert chefs, assisted by our culinary and baking students. We use only the freshest ingredients, relying on the wonderful bounty of fresh food available in the Garden State. We will customize the menu to suit your needs, your taste and your budget.
